What is the purpose of accompanying JAMES on a trip?
We want you to be envisioned during our time in Haiti together. We want you to come away with a new sensitivity and empathy for the global poor, especially those that have limited energy access. We want you to grow in your understanding of how Christ calls us to care for the marginalized. We want you to meet our Haitian partners, see our past projects, and get a sense of the good works we are doing. We want to become your favorite charity, we want you to become an ongoing donor, and we want to make you a lasting and vocal advocate for our organization.
What are the accommodations?
We stay in a guesthouse called The Joshua House. They take great care of us! Most meals are eaten there, we sleep there, and debrief together there. It serves as our hub. It's kept clean, the electricity works, and they have running water.
What is the cost?
Trips originating with us from Waco, Texas cost $2100 which includes a donation to JAMES. If you prefer to leave from another city, the price may vary. The cost includes airfare, travelers medical insurance, ground transportation, meals, translators, tips, and a tour of the Citadel. Beach visits can be arranged for a reasonable extra fee.
