solar energy creates electricity (and dries clothes!)
JAMES employs Haitian electricians, welders, drivers, translators, and others when we deploy solar energy systems. We procure over 95% of our materials from Haitian vendors, building the local economy.
JAMES holds relationships to be central. We limit our geographical range so that we can maintain meaningful relationships with our partners, employees, and suppliers. We believe people have inherent dignity, no matter their economic status.
JAMES takes several trips to Haiti per year. Be envisioned by joining us on a trip! See our solar projects, meet our friends, visit historic sites, and eat great Haitian food! You will come back changed!
JAMES is a nonprofit to help other nonprofits. With our Haitian partners we share a passion for justice rooted in our Christian faith.
